Queen Of The Ring – Jade Cargill vs. Piper Niven

Backstage, we see Bayley being interviewed about the Queen of the Ring. She says she鈥檚 interested to see how Jade Cargill does. As she says this, up walks Jade鈥檚 opponent for tonight, Piper Niven. Chelsea Green is with her and talks some trash about how Piper is gonna beat Jade. We head to a commercial break.

Inside the arena, Jade Cargill鈥檚 theme hits, and out comes one-half of the WWE Women鈥檚 Tag-Team Champions for another first-round match in the ongoing WWE Queen of the Ring tournament. Piper Niven鈥檚 theme hits next and out she comes accompanied by Chelsea Green. The bell sounds and off we go.

Jade starts off strong, but Niven actually takes over and gets in more offense on her than anyone has since she arrived in WWE. Niven hits a running senton and a rolling cannonball in the corner. Niven goes for another corner splash, but Jade moves out of the way and hits a pump kick to Niven led by a Jaded finisher for the win to advance to the next round of the Queen of the Ring, where she faces another big gal in Nia Jax.

WWE Women鈥檚 Tag Team Championship – The Kabuki Warriors (C) vs. Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill

The WWE France commentator enters the ring and announces that WWE Backlash: France has set an all-time record, as tonight鈥檚 live gate for the show inside the LDLC Arena in Lyon-D茅cines, France is the largest gate for any arena show in the history of the company. Once that wraps up, we see the pre-match video package telling the story leading up to today鈥檚 co-main event, which features the WWE Women鈥檚 Tag-Team Championships on-the-line.

After it wraps up, we return inside the LDLC Arena where the theme for The Kabuki Warriors plays. Out comes the reigning and defending WWE Women鈥檚 Tag-Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane for their latest title defense. They settle in the ring and their music dies down. Bianca Belair鈥檚 theme plays next and out comes 鈥淭he EST of WWE.鈥 She settles in the ring and after a little pause, the theme for Jade Cargill hits and out comes the new shiny addition to the women鈥檚 roster in WWE.

Following the ring entrances of the champions and the challengers, Samantha Irvin gets the final formal pre-match ring introductions out of the way and then the bell sounds to get this one officially off-and-running. Belair and Asuka kick things off for their respective teams. Asuka anf Bianca trade forearm shots in the middle of the ring. Asuka with a kick and she runs to the ropes but Bianca hits her with a shoulder tackle.

Bianca goes for a clothesline but Asuka with an octopus submission but Bianca gets out of it and she slams Asuka onto the mat. Bianca with a suplex. Jade is tagged into the match and as is Sane who goes for a waist lock but Jade pushes her away. Sane with kicks and she goes for a cross body but Jade catches her with a back breaker. Bianca is tagged in and they double team Sane, slamming her onto the mat. Bianca runs to the ropes and she hits a moonsault.

She goes for the cover but Sane kicks out. Bianca gets Sane in the corner and hits her with right hands but Sane grabs her by her pony tail, Bianca jumps down and hits her with a kick to the side of the head. Sane falls to the outside and Bianca jumps to the outside, Sane moves out of the way and Asuka hits Bianca with a kick. Sane climbs the top rope and she hits her with a cross body. Sane throws her back into the ring. She goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Asuka is tagged in and they double team Bianca.

Asuka goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Asuka with kicks and Sane is tagged back in. They double team Bianca. Sane climbs the top rope and she hits her with a flying forearm to the face. Sane goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out. Asuka grabs Bianca but Bianca with a jaw breaker. Bianca with a suplex and both women are down. Sane is tagged in and Bianca goes for the tag but Sane knocks Jade off the ring apron. An elbow by Sane and Asuka is tagged in. They double team Bianca. Asuka goes for the cover but Bianca kicks out.

鈥淭he Empress of Tomorrow鈥 goes for a submission but Bianca gets to her feet, lifting Asuka up. Asuka makes the tag to Sane and Sane with a right hand. A kick by Asuka and Sane grabs Bianca by her hair but Bianca pulls Sane towards her and hits her with a clothesline. Jade is tagged in and she hits them with a springboard off the top rope. Jade with a splash onto Asuka and Sane in the corner. Jade lifts Sane up and slams her onto the mat. She goes for the cover but Asuka breaks it up.

Asuka is tagged in and they double team Jade with kicks to the face. Sane hits Bianca with the neck breaker. She goes for the cover but the referee told her that Asuka is the legal partner. Jade with a forearm to the face and Asuka is on the ring apron. Asuka gets back into the ring but Jade with a kick. Jade with a head lock in the corner but Sane tags herself in. Sane with right hands but Jade with a modified chokeslam. Sane trips Jade up and gets her in an arm bar. Asuka and Bianca fight into the ring and Asuka with an arm bar on Bianca.

Jade and Bianca both get up from the arm bars and slam The Kabuki Warriors onto the mat. Jade goes for a double chokeslam but they throw Jade to the ropes and Bianca is tagged in. Jade throws Asuka to the outside. Bianca and Jade double team Sane and Jade hits her with a German suplex. Bianca goes for the cover but Sane kicks out. Asuka grabs Jade on the outside and throws her into the ring steps. Bianca with a spinebuster onto Sane.

She goes for a spear but Sane moves out of the way and Bianca hits the ring post. Asuka is tagged in. Sane with the Insane elbow. She goes for the cover but Jade breaks it up. The Kabuki Warriors double team Jade but Jade with a super kick on Asuka. Sane jumps off the second rope, Jade catches her, flips her in the air and slams her onto the mat. In comes Bianca and she hits Asuka with the KOD onto Sane. Bianca goes for the cover and gets the pin. We have new WWE Women鈥檚 Tag-Team Champions.

Bayley, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton, Dakota Kai, Kairi Sane, and Asuka

Kairi and Naomi start off and they lock up. Naomi with a wrist lock and Kairi with a punch. Sane with an Irish whip and Naomi floats ver and saheks her rear end in Sane鈥檚 face and kicks her away. Naomi with a hesitation drop kick and a kick to Sane. Bianca tags in and she hits a handspring moonsault for a near fall. Bianca with a slam attempt and Sane escapes. Bianca with a marching delayed vertical suplex. Bianca sends Asuka to the floor and Sane with a spinning back fist. Bayley makes the tag and Bianca kicks Sane. Bianca and Bayley have some words and Asuka pulls Bianca to the floor. Tiffany tags in and hits a spinebuster on Bayley. We go to commercial.

We are back and Bayley blocks a double suplex by Asuka and Sane. Asuka with a shoulder followed by a knee from Sane and a kick from Asuka for a near fall. Tiffany tags in and she chokes Bayley in the ropes. Dakota tags in and she kicks Bayley. Sane tags in and she tags in Asuka. Asuka goes to the turnbuckles for Sane to send Bayley into Asuka鈥檚 rear end. Asuka gets a near fall. Tiffany with an Irish whip and Tiffany with a back handspring elbow into the corner followed by a snap mare into a cartwheel for an Alabama Slam and she gets a near fall. Tiffany kicks Bayley and Bayley with a punch. Tiffany with a forearm and kick. Tiffany knocks Jade off the apron and then she sends Bayley into Naomi to knock her off the apron. Bayley with a Saito suplex and both women are down in the ring.

Bianca reluctantly thinks about tagging in but Jade gets on the apron and she tags in. Jade with a bicycle kick followed by a choke slam and a uranage back breaker. Jade with a splash to Dakota and a power bomb. Bianca is slammed onto Dakota by Jade and Sane breaks up the cover. Asuka with a drop kick to Jade. Naomi with a Bubba Bomb to Asuka. Tiffany kicks Naomi and Bayley with a belly-to-belly suplex to Tiffany. Dakota with a scorpion kick to Bayley. Bianca avoids a kick from Dakota and Bianca with KOD for the three count.

Backstage Segment with Jade Cargill, Naomi, Bianca Belair, and Bayley

When we return, we go to Kayla Braxton in the back with Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. Kayla asks them about the tag title match tomorrow. Jade says they are confident. Bianca says she is ready for closure. Damage CTRL has come after her for her entire career. When they win tomorrow, they will be done with Damage CTRL forever.

We see Naomi and Bayley in the room as well and Bianca gets a little flustered, but Jade calms her down. From there, we shoot to SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, who is with Carmelo Hayes. He tells Carmelo he needs to show up and show out. Hayes says he almost beat Cody last week and he wants to be part of the King of the Ring.

Back from the break, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven make their way down to the ring. Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair follow.

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair vs. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven

Green and Belair begin the action. The bell rings and Belair delivers a spinebuster. Niven tags in and calls for Cargill to join her in the ring. Belair looks to tag her in, but Niven grabs her ponytail before she can. She sends her crashing into the mat, then delivers a cannonball in the corner and looks to deliver a Vader Bomb. Belair avoids it, and Green tags in. Cargill tags in and Green looks to tag out, but Niven is no longer on the apron. Cargill hits Green with a scoop slam, followed by a side kick before delivering a Jaded for the win

Jade Cargill vs. Chelsea Green

Back from the break, Green makes her way down to the ring. We see Green awaiting in the ring for her opponent and out comes聽 Jade Cargill.

The bell rings and Green protests facing Cargill, claiming she didn’t agree to the match. Green turns around into a pump kick from Cargill, who then connects with Jaded for the win.
