“Jade Cargill has been a champion inside the ring, but she is also a champion of patience.

Since signing with WWE in September, to the surprise of many in the professional wrestling world, she has yet to make her in-ring debut with the company.

However, that hasn鈥檛 stopped her from championing her new company. Over the weekend, Cargill was one of a handful of WWE stars on hand to bring even more star power the Big 12 Championship Game at AT&T Stadium, as part of a new partnership between the two sides.

As a co-owner of the Texas Smoke, a professional softball team based in Austin, Cargill was in Arlington supporting the Texas Longhorns for their demolition of Oklahoma State on the way to the Big 12 title and eventual College Football Playoff berth.

But during the game she spoke to The Dallas Morning News聽about her WWE experience, looming in-ring debut and more:

On her experience so far with WWE, going to events like the Big 12 championship to help promote the company…

Cargill:聽鈥淲hen you have the monster behind you and backing you, the sky鈥檚 the limit. I鈥檝e never been a part of a system like this, you know? The fan base, the talent, the front office 鈥� I鈥檝e never been a part of something so professional. I don鈥檛 know how to describe it. Like, it鈥檚 just so gritty. It鈥檚 so gung ho. We鈥檙e gonna get it done, we鈥檙e gonna go there, we鈥檙e gonna kill it and make a name for ourself.鈥�

And this might be two different questions within the same question, because I think the answer to 鈥榓re you ring ready鈥� is yes?

Cargill:聽鈥淵es.鈥�

But how close do you think it is to you being Jade Cargill, inside a WWE ring for real?

Cargill: 鈥淪o, you want me to reveal what we have in the works it seems like. [Laughs] So, listen, I think the fan base should be patient. I think they need to understand we鈥檙e making a diamond. We鈥檙e creating something that鈥檚 gonna be a legacy. We鈥檙e creating something that鈥檚 going to create echoes and waves throughout not just the wrestling culture, but pop culture and beyond. They鈥檙e setting me up for success, you shouldn鈥檛 rush success.

鈥淚鈥檝e been on TV in front of thousands of people several times, one thing I know how to do is entertain a crowd. And no one 鈥� no one 鈥� can say different. I can do that. The WWE Universe knows exactly what they鈥檙e doing. I trust them. I believe in this system. And when they see me in that ring, understand, there鈥檚 no turning back. [WWE]鈥檚 believing in everything I鈥檓 doing, given me everything that I could fathom. And I鈥檓 going to be ready. I鈥檓 already ready. But again, it鈥檚 on my time, and everybody should be patient. And when I come, just understand I鈥檓 taking over.鈥�

When that time does come do you have a first target or is that just back to trusting the system, trusting the process?

Cargill:聽鈥淵ou鈥檒l just have to see. Just know when I start there鈥檚 no stopping. There鈥檚 no breaks and everybody should be elated. So whomever wants to come get it, I got it. I鈥檓 just gonna give out work. Come apply.鈥�
